Riding Lessons

Riding Class

Riding instruction is offered for the Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced rider using your horse or a lesson animal. Western and Hunter (English) disciplines are offered as well as Equitation, Horsemanship, Showmanship, Reining and Trail. Lessons are also offered to the new and inexperienced horse owner to learn to handle and care for your animals on the ground. Lessons are offered either once or twice a week and are 30 minutes in length. All lessons are private with instructor Gail Powers. For safety reasons group lessons are only offered to well established intermediate or advanced riders.

Riders are started as young at 4 years of age. All beginning riders are started in a 65' round pen for safety. All riders under the age of 18 must wear USTM approved riding helmets and all riders under the age of 18 attending school must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

Riders are taught the basics of riding skills in conjunction with the methods of communication with horses and the mechanics of horses. As their abilities advance the basics skills are then enhanced with the fundamentals of advanced riding techniques while at ALL times teaching the importance of SAFETY while being in the presence of horses.
